The Schertz Economic Development Corporation (Schertz EDC) is a non-profit, industrial development entity dedicated to fostering economic growth and prosperity in the city of Schertz, Texas.

Established in 1997 with a mission to attract and retain businesses, the Schertz EDC plays a pivotal role in shaping the local economy by providing resources, incentives, and support to both new and existing businesses. The affairs of the SEDC are managed by a Board of Directors, which is composed of 7 members appointed by the City Council. The City Manager, or his/her designee, serves as the Executive Director of the SEDC to provide administrative support services for the advancement of economic prosperity for the City. 

Through strategic partnerships with local stakeholders, the Schertz EDC works tirelessly to create a business-friendly environment conducive to investment and innovation. By focusing on infrastructure development, workforce training, and business expansion initiatives, the Schertz EDC aims to enhance the quality of life for residents while positioning the city as a premier destination for business development and entrepreneurship.
